Dublin in recent years has undoubtedly become one of the most popular places in Europe to visit or stay in and with good reason. The reasons why people come here are endless and the possibilities for enjoying oneself here are many. Dublin is the Ireland's capital city (Belfast and Cork are the country's other two major cities) and since its beginning around 988AD it has accommodated many diverse nationalities from the Vikings to the English invaders to the sailors, traders and writers who settled and lived here over the centuries.
